Epilepsy Checkup

Living well with epilepsy may be as simple as taking daily medications to control seizures. In many cases, though, it can be more challenging! Look over this list to see if you're doing everything you can to manage your condition:

1. Are you fully aware of the treatments available for epilepsy and understand their benefits and risks?
2. Are you satisfied with your seizure control?
3. Are you bothered by any medication side effects?
4. Are you satisfied with your ability to think and learn?
5. Are you succeeding in school or work?
6. Do you know how to manage your stress?
7. Do you have people to talk to about epilepsy?
8. Are you confident that others will know what to do if you have a seizure?
9. Do you have opportunities to socialize and have fun in a safe and accepting environment?
10. ARE YOU LIVING WELL WITH EPILEPSY?

If you answered "NO" to any of these questions, the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois may be able to help you.
